A BUSINESS THAT KNOWS HOW TO BE IN FRONT OF PEOPLE IS GOING TO WIN

Coach Kyle Draper used to be a pastor and is now in the content creation business, or, as he explains, the content-compounding business. He and his team help realtors, lenders and entrepreneurs grow their businesses organically. Coach Kyle offered me some great advice during my interview with him on my latest episode of “The Producer Rachel Show.”

DON’T LET IMPOSTER SYNDROME GET IN YOUR WAY

Imposter syndrome is that nagging feeling that you don't belong or aren't good enough. It's important to push past this doubt and trust in your abilities. Everyone starts somewhere, and believing in yourself is the first step to success.

TRY KYLE’S CONTENT COMPOUNDING SYSTEM

Coach Kyle’s Content Compounding system is a game-changer. He takes one 60 minute video that you provide and breaks it down into 4 shorter segments, 3 social media posts, 2 blog posts, and 1 podcast episode and it’s all done for you. This way, one piece of content goes a long way!

LIVE STREAMING IS AN UNDERUTILIZED CONTENT TOOL

Live streaming is a powerful yet often overlooked tool. It allows real-time interaction with your audience, creating an immediate and personal connection. It's a great way to engage and build your community. Stream for 1 hour a week and make THAT video your long form and follow Coach Kyle’s content compounding system.

TELLING YOUR STORY ISN’T FOR YOU, IT’S FOR THE PERSON THAT NEEDS TO HEAR YOUR MESSAGE

When telling your story, focus on your audience. Your message should resonate with them, making them feel understood and connected. Remember, being relatable is more important than being perfect. Mistakes make you human and more likable.

DO NOT FEAR SUCCESS

Even successful people can fear success. It's a common feeling that can hold you back. Acknowledge it, but don't let it stop you from achieving your goals. Embrace success as part of your journey.

ARE WE GOING TO SUCK IT UP OR GIVE UP?

Entrepreneurship is tough and full of challenges so your drive to serve and make a difference should be stronger than the obstacles you face. Keep going, even when it's hard.

THERE WILL ALWAYS BE PEOPLE WHO SEEM MORE SUCCESSFUL

There will always be people that you perceive as finding greater success than you but oftentimes they are also carrying a bigger burden. Focus on your own journey and progress rather than comparing yourself to others.

ADDING THE WORD “YET” WILL HELP SHIFT YOUR MINDSET

Example: I haven’t written a book, yet. Adding the word "yet" to your statements can completely change your mindset. This simple shift opens up possibilities and keeps you motivated.

THE POWER OF THE INTERNET

The internet is a powerful tool for sharing your content. People might not notice at first, but one video can change everything. It provides endless opportunities to reach and connect with people all over the world.

THERE WILL ALWAYS BE UPS AND DOWNS

Starting a business comes with highs and lows. It's important to be prepared for both and to stay resilient. Success isn't a straight path, but with persistence, you can navigate through the ups and downs.

FIGURE OUT YOUR MINIMUM VIABLE OUTPUT AND BE CONSISTENT

Determine the smallest amount of work you need to do to maintain consistency in your content creation. It's better to consistently produce small amounts of quality content than to burn out trying to do too much.

“MY CRAPPY VIDEO WILL OUTPERFORM THE VIDEO YOU NEVER DO EVERY TIME”

Don’t be afraid of making imperfect content. Even a "crappy" video is better than the one you never make. Taking action and putting yourself out there is more important than achieving perfection.

GET OUT OF YOUR HEAD WHEN CREATING CONTENT

When creating content, it's easy to overthink and doubt yourself. To get out of your head, focus on the message you want to share and the people who will benefit from it. Just start creating and let go of perfectionism.

IF YOU'RE STARTING FROM SCRATCH, DON'T BE DISCOURAGED

Begin by learning and experimenting. Consistency and perseverance are key. Over time, you'll improve and build a following. Everyone starts somewhere.

FEELING INADEQUATE? DO THIS…

When feeling inadequate, check out the oldest videos of your favorite YouTubers. You'll see how much they've grown and improved over time. It's a reminder that everyone starts as a beginner.

VISIBILITY IS CRUCIAL FOR BUSINESS SUCCESS

The more you're willing to put yourself out there, the more opportunities you'll create. Being present and engaging with your audience can set you apart from the competition.

DONE BEATS PERFECT EVERY TIME

Finishing a task is more important than making it perfect. Perfectionism can lead to procrastination. Focus on completing your work, then improve it over time. Progress is better than perfection.

Be willing to pivot or change. Be intentional about finding the balance between what you believe in and what you are willing to change - at what expense is it worth being right?

Flexibility is key in business. Be open to change and willing to pivot when necessary. Find a balance between staying true to your values and adapting to new circumstances. Sometimes, it's better to adjust than to insist on being right.

BE THANKFUL FOR THE SHADOWS: BUILDING IN THE DARK

Building in the dark means working hard without immediate recognition. Be grateful for this time, as it allows you to grow and improve without the pressure of the spotlight. When you're ready, you'll shine even brighter.

I hope this episode is the motivation you need to KEEP GOING! As always, I have got your back. Have content on your camera roll and no time to edit? I have long-form and short-form editors. Want to create content but have no idea where to start? Book me for a brainstorming session. Are you an expert that wants to be on TV, radio, and podcasts? I am a media coach and can help you stand out from the crowd of press releases so producers actually book you!
